Paint the Christmas tree with the red earth acrylic paint. We used red earth (by JoSonja's) but you can also use an other brand of acrylic paint, like Viva Decor or DecoArt. There are so many colors, so you can design your own Christmas tree to match your interior. Let the paint dry! Sponge with a coarse sponge the Maya Gold on the tree, let dry and sponge a second layer. Don't cover the complete tree with Maya Gold, you still need to see the red earth paint.
