You could almost hear them rustling in the leaves... these hedgehogs made out of pine cone seem so real!
Unlike the real ones, they are very cuddleable. Go to the forest to collect pine cones in all sorts of sizes and go create!
How to:
Make a ball out of clay.
Form it on one side into a small tip.
Attach with some glue to the pine cone. Press firmly.
With a pair of scissors cut a small mouth. Begin a little further than the tip of the nose, so that the mouth is smaller at the bottom than at the top.
Create two equal balls...
...and attach to the head with some glue.
Press a small hole in the ears with a spatula and press firmly to fix.
For the eyes press to small holes...
...and glue two bead eyes in the holes.
With a sharp spatula create the spines on the head and create a nice overflow to the pine cone.
A belly and 4 paws ensure that the hedgehog stays straight.
Paint the hedgehog and a Happy end is insured.
Be aware... Clay can' t be placed outside, so place it inside the house or at a protected area. Lots of creative fun!
