The base is a simple piece of cotton, where you can make these fun snowmen in a few hours.
How to make the snowmen:
Stitch the snowman shape, leaving a small opening at the bottom for turning and filling. Sew it closed after filling. Coat the hull with Powertex Ivory, let it dry or dry faster with a hair dryer. Repeat once again. The next day it is harder than just after applying it, you can now continue working on it.
Decorate the dry snowman with buttons, nose, tie and more. Use your inexhaustible imagination. Make a small hole for the arms.
Press hot glue from the gun into the hole and push the stick in. Eyes can be seeds, a round of felt or a ball of glue.
The mouth can also be dots of glue or a line of glue.
Once everything is pasted it can be shadowed with Prov. Beige and Burnt Umber, both mixed separately, start with Retarder.
Thanks to the Retarder, you can easily apply and distribute it and also partially brush it away.
At the end, paint the parts that should be black. Give the snowman a broom or a hat. With white paint, finally giving a touch everywhere makes it extra wintery.
let it snow!!!
What do you need:
Serving tray, which we have used as a background for a wintery street.
Use the paint colors as for the snowmen. Paint the tray white in one or two layers, always sand the first layer of paint for a fine result.
Draw the houses from as in this picture, not too neat and not too straight.
Color the houses differently with a sepia look by mixing Prov.beige and burnt umber, apply windows and doors, shutters, hatch etc. Delineate the contours.
Apply a crackle medium here and there, fill the crackles with burnt umber for an extra weathered effect. Finish the whole thing with a matt varnish. Have fun!
