Flowers and bees make the summer complete!
The T-shirts and bags are stamped with fabric paint, using an empty toilet paper roll (inside) or part of an egg carton.
Make sure that when you process new textiles - such as a T-shirt - that it has been pre-washed.
Place a piece of cardboard in the shirt or under the fabric to be painted. If necessary, you can use the cardboard as a tensioning board with the help of clothespins.
Cut thin strips on one side of an empty toilet paper roll. Dose a little paint on a palette and smear it out a bit to create a larger paint spot.
Dab the cut toilet paper roll in it, make sure it is evenly distributed and press it a few times to create a nice flower.
Try this out beforehand on a sample of fabric to estimate the correct dosage.
Paint the flower heart and stems with a paintbrush.
Have fun with this easy technique with a nice summer result!
Bumblebee T-shirt with white flowers.
Lightly draw the bumblebee on the shirt or bag, or trace it with transfer paper or with the help of a light panel.
Use a Faber-Castell Textile Marker pen for the lines.
Color the bumblebee with a brush and fabric paint. Paint the wings transparent, so not opaque, with white paint.
Stamp the white flowers using a dry dish brush and paint the stems with a paintbrush.
Happy summer!
