Summer time!

The wooden discs are available in two sizes, the larger one can also be covered by a whole napkin.
A continuous motif, as used here, is practical, but details of a napkin can also be used.

Treat the bare wood with white gesso or white acrylic paint. This will keep the colors of the napkin bright.
Let everything dry and then apply the napkin glue.
Include the edges with it too.
Let the glue dry slightly.
Peel the napkin and place the napkin on the glue.
Gently rub the napkin to remove wrinkles and other imperfections.
Let everything dry again and apply another thin layer of glue as a protective varnish.
Put the clockwork in the round opening and install the hands.
The clock requires an AA 1.5 battery, but this is not included in the packaging.

A small tray from Ambiente is available for this napkin. What could be nicer as a gift than a matching sheep's milk soap with a lavender scent, decorated with a porcelain butterfly.
