Starfish made with Paper Maché

There are many different types of starfish, in all kind of shapes and with different patterns or structures.
Take a look at some pictures of starfish on the internet for inspiration.

Knead a large ball of paper-mâché (lying on the table) and knead five arms, not too identical .
Use your own imagination or stick to a chosen image.

Structure the top of the starfish by randomly pressing circles with a ballpoint pen. This gives a 'pockmarked' effect.

Papier-mache must dry for several days. Heat and sun help with this.
Paint the starfish first white and then in fantasy colors that match with your interior or according to reality.

Finish with a matt or just glossy varnish for a nice shine and protection.
